FME Gets More Creative

In order to strengthen its capabilities as well as manage its recent client growth, integrated communications agency Fletcher Martin Ewing (FME) recently welcomed a number of new members to its team.

Industry veteran Mike Gustafson is joining the FME team as Creative Director. Gustafson brings more than 20 years of advertising expertise to the Atlanta-based shop. During his tenure at The Richards Group, Gustafson worked on accounts such as The Home Depot, Nokia, Easy Gardener and the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation. He has won numerous awards at The One Show, Cannes, CA, Andy's, NY Art Directors, NY International Festivals, ADWEEK Best Spots, and the coveted Best of Show Awards at the Minneapolis and Dallas Shows.

FME has also brought in a new art director. John Osbourne is a recent graduate of the Art Institute, where he graduated with top honors, including a "Best of Show" for his portfolio.

Jill Meiser, a 16-year veteran in media management, is FME's newest senior VP. Meiser's experience includes clients such as DaimlerChrysler, The Gap, Walgreens, Arby's, Metro Goldw- yn Mayer, Ford Motor Company and BellSouth. She currently oversees the account management of the RTM Restaurant Group, Arby's largest franchisee.

Joining Meiser on the RTM account are Ann Antonini, account supervisor; Melissa Pumphrey, account supervisor; Emily Grumet, account manager; and Nicole Minton, account coordinator.

Antonini comes from Initiative Media, where she was a senior account manager on Arby's. Her previous experience includes Fahlgren Advertising, Carat USA and Moroch & Associates. She has worked with such clients as McDonald's, Kroger, New LineCinemas, Artisan Entertainment, MGM Studios and Church's Chicken.

Pumphrey brought her five years of experience to FME from Cole Henderson Drake, where she worked on Wendy's, London Bay Homes, Vanity Fair Brand Solutions and Velocity Sports Performance. Before that she worked for Bates USA, working on Hyundai and Wendy's.

Like Antonini, Grumet comes to FME from Initiative Media, where she worked on the Arby's account for the last two years. Her previous experience includes True Value and The Paper Exchange. Finally, Minton was recently promoted to account coordinator after having interned at FME.

Also working on the Arby's business is new account supervisor Lisa Mandell, who manages the SYBRA account, Arby's second largest franchisee. Mandell brings 11 years of experience to FME, having worked at Kilgannon McReynolds, BBDO and Scharbo. Client-wise, her experience includes Southern LINC, Cingular Wireless, LongHorn Steakhouse and Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse, among others. Mandell is also responsible for the Carvel Ice Cream account at FME.

Another new addition to the FME team is Account Manager Anna Web, who is working on the Mrs. Winner's and PSC accounts. Over the last four years, Webb has worked hand in hand with Interep in promoting/selling the ABC trio of Atlanta radio stations, has sold local advertising for ABC radio in Atlanta and coordinated The Home Depot print and broadcast media buy for the southwest U.S.

On the Media side, FME has added Jamie Landers as a Senior Broadcast Negotiator. She started in the broadcast media business seven years ago at Pollack Levitt & Partners, then joined Kastner & Partners, followed by Zenith Media and Integer Group. She has worked with such clients as Red Bull, Verizon, Napa Autoparts, Georgia Power, Powertel and Bellsouth.
