Dick Smith Joins NARAS Board

Composer, Producer, Songwriter Dick Smith has been voted to the Board of Governors for the Atlanta chapter of NARAS Atlanta chapter. Currently, Smith is co-producing with French recording artist Michel Polnareff for Sony Tracks on the singer’s newest album, being cut in Atlanta and Los Angeles via the Paris hard disk recording system. "Actually it’s very cool the way we are working in some instances," says Smith. "We have identical systems on both coasts in which files can be sent back and forth via an internet server."

Smith executive produced and served as Musical Director and Guitarist for Polnareff's "Live at the Roxy" recorded at the Roxy in Hollywood in 1995. The record went to number one in France for over fourteen weeks and was certified double platinum. Polnareff whose band once boasted guitar players like Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page, will stage a massive tour of Europe & Asia when the new record is complete.
