Dancz Joins Oasis

Oasis welcomed Composer Steve Dancz to its ranks as in-house Composer. Dancz, who began his career when he was only 15, was enjoying international performances by 21, visiting Europe, the Soviet Union, Japan, China, Africa, and South America. He has studied piano with Harold Danko, Tom Ferguson, and Monty Alexander. A recipient of the National Endowment of the Arts grant, he has performed or recorded with such musical notables as the Chieftains, Eddie Harris, Bill Cosby, Dizzy Gillespie, Gus Mancuso, and Clark Terry. He has performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), the Vienne Jazz Festival (France), Tocar La Vida (Argentina), and the World Festival of Sacred Music (India), and at the request of His Holiness, the XIV Dalai Lama.

Dancz's resume also includes stints as a Record Producer and an A&R Director based out of Los Angeles. He has conducted orchestral scores for television sitcoms such as "Designing Women." In addition to his position at Oasis, Dancz currently directs the Jazz Studios program at the University of Georgia.
