This summer, nearly four million PBS viewers got a look at Dzignlight Studio's most recently completed animation piece for the 61st Annual Peabody Awards Ceremony. Taped live at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York, the show recognizes outstanding achievement in broadcasting and cable television.
The awards are produced through The University of Georgia, in association with Atlanta ImageArts and Georgia Public Broadcasting. Jody Danneman, President of Atlanta ImageArts, served as the Producer and Director of both the live event and the television show. Danneman hired Dzignlight Studios for the third year to take part in the production. Dzignlight's animation was used to introduce the elements on which the Awards are based: radio, broadcast TV, cable TV and the internet. The animation pieces also with visuals of the Peabody Award Medallion were also used for the ceremony's closing.
