"Tribute to NY," a four minute tribute to the heroism of the people of New York in response to the terror attacks of 9/11 was honored with a CINE Golden Eagle. The award, which enables the video to represent the United States in international film festivals, will be presented at a gala awards ceremony in February 2003. The spot was produced by Kevin McGann for CNN On-Air Promotion and edited by Magick Lantern's Editor, Jesenko Fazlagic. The piece aired during the weekend after the attack. McGann and Fazlagic combined images from CNN's broadcast with the song “New York” performed by U2.
