Fabella Nabs Oz a Winner Fabella Nabs Oz a Winner

Readers: please excuse a little bias here: The Office of Ted Fabella and Oz Magazine will be displayed in the Society of Publication Designers (SPD) 37th Annual. In 2001, Fabella worked with the Oz staff to introduce a cleaner, more sophisticated look to a magazine catering to readers with visual acuity. His concept has been a winner for Oz and now will grace the pages of SPD's annual. This year's competition had a total of 7,500 submissions worldwide, out of which only 700 were accepted for inclusion. An accompanying exhibition was held at Parsons School of Art and Design in New York City. The hardbound annual is due in bookstores this fall. Founded in 1965, the SPD is the only professional graphic design organization with an emphasis on publications, including magazine, newspaper, and newsletter design. Fabella runs his own creative firm and teaches at the Portfolio Center. He has held positions with Wages Design and Sapient and is an active member of Atlanta’s design community.

Congratulations to Ted, and thank you.
