Henson Goes for Plastic Photography

Freelance Photographer Robin Henson, along with the design team at the Metro Atlanta YMCA, decided to go plastic for this year's Annual Report. The entire project was photographed with the Diana 120 plastic camera originally made in the early 1960s. Henson chose the camera for its unconventional, playful effect. "We agreed to shoot color film instead of black and white, which is traditionally used with this camera, to keep an upbeat fun look," said Henson. "It was one of the most challenging and exciting projects to date. Everything from composition by intuition to light leaks and soft focus added to the playfulness and beauty of the final product."
