The 48 Hour Deadline

They had 48 hours, two days, to write, shoot, edit, and score music for an original movie. More than 300 people assembled within 22 teams to race against time in The 48 Hour Film Project. It all began at Turner Studios, where each team drew a genre from a hat. Genres ranged from film noir to mystery. Teams were also given character information as well as a prop and dialogue to use in the film. Films were to be between five and twelve minutes long. The event has run successfully in DC and New York. The Atlanta project drew a packed house at Lefont Theatre .
