PRSA|GA

The Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA|GA) is now certifiably the second largest chapter in the country, says Jennifer Lane Grizzle, PRSA|GA President. The chapter's membership count is presently 800-plus, a tally that includes only PRSA members who belong to the Georgia Chapter itself.

The New York chapter had been the No. 1 chapter for most of PRSA's history, but was surpassed by the Washington, DC chapter in the mid-1990s. New York is now third largest, followed by Chicago, Los Angeles and Detroit.

And the PRSA|GA guard has changed as well. New elected officers for 2004 are: President - Jennifer Grizzle, principal of The PR Studio, Inc.; President-elect - Bari Love, managing director of Ogilvy Public Relations in Atlanta; Secretary - Mary Sorrel, and Treasurer - Leslie Wagner, executive director of the Peanut Advisory Board. The directors at large for 2004 include: Bill Marks, APR; Eleanor Smith, APR; John Walker; Gary McKillips, APR, fellow PRSA; Mike Neumeier, APR; Cristina Anderson; Renee Kopkowski; Karla Harvill, APR; Tim Hussey, APR, and Jason Anthoine, APR. And finally, the assembly delegates for 2004 include: Mark Dvorak, APR; Juliann Kaiser, APR; Christine McManus, APR; Amanda Brown-Olmstead, APR, fellow PRSA; Kim Drew, APR; Ellen Hartman, APR, fellow PRSA; Leslie Lamkin, APR, fellow PRSA, and Mike Manning, APR.
