New Employees Become Organ Donors?

Melissa Cook joins the Denmark Advertising and Public Relations roster, and so does the Georgia Transplant Foundation (GTF), as the firm readies for summer.

GTF chose Denmark to increase awareness of the organization through the development of a pro bono TV spot expected to begin airing locally this summer. The spot will educate Georgia residents on GTF and its support services for transplant candidates and recipients in need of assistance that stretches beyond medical needs.

Cook will fill the position of public relations account executive at Denmark. Her duties include planning and implementing public relations strategies for a variety of Denmark's clients. Cook comes to Denmark from United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, a nonprofit organization that works to connect people with resources in the 13-county metro Atlanta area. Prior to her three years with United Way, she held an internship position with WSB-TV and has completed freelance projects for several local nonprofit organizations, including the Bike4Breast Cancer Pink Ribbon Ride and the Habersham/White County Home Builders Association Annual Home Show.
