Braindance Snares Phoenix Award Braindance Snares Phoenix Award

The Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) honored Braindance with a Phoenix award for its work in a project category entitled, "Collateral - Specialty Items." Braindance accepted its award for marketing and special event materials developed for Theatre Gael's "A Gaelic Evening." The award was presented to Braindance at the PRSA Georgia Chapter's annual awards ceremony in November at The Grand Hyatt hotel in Atlanta.

Braindance President Moira Shanahan was named one of Irish America Magazine's "Business 100" for 1998. The magazine's November/December issue featured a profile on Shanahan and her accomplishments with Braindance. Shanahan was chosen from more that 350 candidates from across the United States based on criteria that included leadership, entrepreneurial success, and the growth of her company. A special committee reviewed the candidates for months before selecting Shanahan and others on the list, including executives from Georgia Companies such as UPS and Turner Broadcasting. According to the magazine, Shanahan is one of 17 female executives honored on this year's list, a number that's up from six last year.

Along with this honor, Shanahan was also named to two new alumni councils at the University of Notre Dame. Shanahan will serve on the Advisory Committee for the newly created Gigot Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, as well as the Executive Committee of the Advisory Council for the College of Business Administration.
