PLN Awarded For Power PLN Awarded For Power Pollak Levitt & Nel was recently honored by the American Marketing Association and awarded the Bronze EFFIE � for the agency's creative work for client Georgia Power. In addition, PLN's work has helped Georgia Power win five awards in the nationally recognized 1999 Better Communications Competition held by Utility Communicators International (UCI). The awards included commendation for local newspaper campaign, individual radio spots, TV commercials for broadcast and industrial use, and an interactive web site sponsorship.

In personnel moves, PLN named Paul Gilberto Vice President, Account Planner. Gilberto held previous positions as Marketing Services Senior Manager for Georgia Pacific Corporation, where her worked on Angel Soft, Coronet, Sparkle, and MD Products. Gilberto holds a Master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. PLN promoted Mindy Herndon to Account Executive for the agency's Powertel account. Herndon joined PLN in 1997 as an Account Coordinator. Herndon will continue to work on the Powertel account and additional responsibilities will include field activities for the Birmingham region as well as assisting with Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Louisville regions where Powertel has large markets.

Premier Collision Centers has chosen PLN as their agency of record. Premier Collision Centers is an Atlanta based company currently planning expansion in the multi-billion dollar automobile collision repairs industry. Premier plans to open a new facility in Columbus, GA in early 2000. Business negotiations are also underway to acquire other facilities in Alabama and Georgia.
