Infinitee will also be agency of record for The Shop America Alliance. The Alliance, based in Phoenix, was formed by major shopping center development/management companies in the US and will strive to promote destination retail to tour operators and wholesalers throughout the world. Shopping is the number one activity by visitors to the US and tourism is one of the country's largest exports. The Shop America Alliance will work to increase its members market share of these expenditures over the coming years. The first program will be a V.I.P. Shopping Card which will provide discounts at member malls all over the country to visitors who are provided the card in their homeland.
The International Council of Shopping Centers selected Cohn to judge the industry's 1999 Maxi Awards. The Maxi Awards are an international marketing competition focusing on the achievement of marketing results. Award categories are based on shopping center size and include categories such as sales promotion, consumer advertising, and corporate marketing programs. This represents the agency's second major judging invitation this year. In January, David Kelker, Vice President and Creative Director, was asked to judge the Retail Advertising Council Awards for retail advertising excellence. The Maxi Awards are given in September at the International Council of Shopping Centers Convention in Denver, Colorado.
