Ad-Com, Inc. is preparing to launch free telephone and Internet services in Atlanta. Ten of the company’s Public Communication Centers are set to hit Atlanta’s streets. These 8.5 foot structures will enable Atlantans to use a speaker phone for local calls, a laptop port with internet access, a local street map, a business directory, community service information, and space for advertising. Ad-Com’s founder, President & CEO, Richard Smith, has been in the process of developing a free communications service for the general public for 10 years.
